Iron Grip: Warlord
What would you do for freedom? In Iron Grip: Warlord, the nomadic civilization of Atelia is being swallowed by the massive Confederation. It's a hopeless and tiresome battle; for every enemy Confederate that falls, five more takes their place. Outnumbered and forced to retreat into the heart of cities, a full-out urban warfare has begun that the Atelians will surely lose. As the vestiges of your world crumble and your morale sinks, the only hope for the future is you and your fellow warlords. This is your last stand. This is your freedom. This is your game.
游戏背景
The world in which Iron Grip: Warlord is set in known as Theia, a steampunk world in where the society can be described of being a blend of the Napoleonic Era and the Industrial Revolution with the technology level of the 1940s. Theia is home to many different landmasses, but Warlord focuses on Kathos, a frigid region to the northeast where winter is long and bitter. Kathos is generally divided into two large military powers and a handful of neutral countries. In the north is the Sovereign Republic of Rahmos, one of the two major powers possesses the world's most advanced and powerful airship fleet and a technologically advanced military. Their territory contains their home islands of Rahmos and Sedalia, with a number of satellite states on the mainland. The Confedration of Nallum, informally known as the Fahrong is the other major power. With uneven and mountainous terrain, the Fahrong employ mechanized walkers known as Armored Arachnids ("Arachs") along with the largest standing army. Central to the game is Atelia, a medium-sized country known for its abundant resources and many different ethnic groups. At the time of the game, Atelia is a country traditionally divided into city-states and nomadic groups. Its lands are contested by the two Kathos military powers and the remaining scraps of the country are ruled by Warlords.

如果你是Half-Life 2的爱好者，应该会玩过一款叫Iron Grip : The Oppression的模组，是的，这款游戏与Iron Grip : The Oppression背景相同。而Iron Grip: Warlord不同于Iron Grip : The Oppression那样采用1VSN强调玩家间的对抗。Warlord简化原来的RTS部分，容入了COOP元素，更强调的是玩家间的协助作战。在Warlord DEMO中，玩家们只允许加入到一个防御阵营，协同对抗一个由AI操控的强大军团。AI会不定时发动一个波次进攻，玩家们必须在进攻路线上建造防御设施抵御AI侵袭，或者是购买威力强大的武器与AI进行快节奏的游击战，游戏目标很简单，保护地图上一个幢主要建筑物不被AI摧毁，同时豪尽AI的兵力，即可获胜。
游戏采用Q3引擎开发，所以风格上接近Q3，对机器配置要求很低
进入游戏后需要注册激活，如不激活则为DEMO限制版本，只能体验一个关卡，暂无破解
